14岁，DDS入学考试第一名，推理能力与Q不相上下。是凡事都很冷靜的天才。其實是冥王星首領的孫子，同時也是未來的繼承人。

14歲，是拥有「瞬间记忆能力」的女孩，她的能力總能幫助Q等人。雖然她的「瞬间记忆能力」為她帶來不少的痛苦，但是她也仍然覺得有「瞬间记忆能力」是一件很偉大的事，希望可以幫助到別人。對Q特別有好感，但整天都會跟他說：「你真的很天真！」與大學生的姐姐同住。年幼時曾進入“國立能力開發研究所”，在那裏與小流相識。但後來此段記憶被消去了。

Long long long time didn't update my blog already......
today too sienz dy....

Too busy for the just ended last semester.....
activities,meetings, assignments, tests and also the exams.....
Beside, there were still a lot of things to worry about.....

Event now, the exam already finished but.....
I still stay in the Kampar.....
For what??

First reason, I want spend the last night with someone I want to spend....
I don't really have much time to have a chance to do so......
I need to treasure the every moments left XD

Second, I haven't buy my ticket to go back =_='
cause I still have a lot pending plans....
I can't decide when can I back to Penang.....

Then, I want to settle something in my school first....
for the upcoming events and also the industry training stuffs...
hahaha...

最近是什么季节啊？
身边的朋友们一个个为感情的事而烦恼。。。
好几个已经闹分手了。。。。
咳。。。。
这些例子每次都会让我害怕。。。
害怕什么呢？

我怕了爱情。。。
甜时让人羡慕。。。
苦时遭人同情。。。

其实我最近还不是一样。。。。
已经渐渐的陷入了这圈套。。。。
我承认。。。
这个人非常特别。。。
我明知道那是爱情的陷阱。。。
但我还是那么勇敢的踩入它。。。

为什么呢？
因为她给了我这份勇气。。。
每次在犹豫不决中的能提起的勇气。。。

也就是说。。。
不管结果会如何。。。。
我都要试一试。。。
因为我明白，我绝对不可以错过他

无论以后会是痛苦，还是甜甜蜜蜜的恋爱。。。
我都准备好了。。。

新的学期又开始了。。。。
假期里。。发生的事不算多。。。但也不能视为少。。。
咳。。。。。

心里总是有一个谜团。。。一个还未解开的。。。。
让我如此的焦急。。。天天还必须挂住一副愁眉苦脸的样。。。。
我究竟何时才能寻找到这答案。。。。
这谜团。。。要如何解开？？我该如何办？？咳。。。
我是个能少一个烦恼。。就少一个的家伙。。。。
但烦恼却时常自己送上门来让我烦。。。。

我不断的接受新考验。。。就只是想把这谜团解开。。。
但。。。。
努力了那么久。。。
还是没成果。。。

有时选择一个人流浪。。。
想在这流浪的过程中。。。
看看这世界的所有。。。。
从中，我可学到了不少道理。。学到了许多许多平时学不到的。。。
流浪让我变得更才成熟。。。
知道了人性的弱点。。。或人格的脆弱。。。。
让我别对事事计较。。。
可是。。。

holidays ended

phew!!! It is going to start our new semester.....
It means the end of the holidays.....
These few days..I spent most of my time practicing guitar....for the Gathering Night...OMG....
All of my fingers' skins were came out....

haha...
Right after the visiting to my secondary school friends..Stella,Shelly, Cindy and Wen Han
It was the time to show up...wow
It was nervous...first time to perform in front of the crowds...
with the noob guitar skills
wakakaka!!
anyway the performance was smoothly done...
hahaha.....I am so enjoying to cooperate with you all..although sometimes I am dissatisfied with the leader...but thx...i had learn a lesson....

Yesterday...I travel "oversea" to the Island just to meet up with my friends...
Just as I mentioned above....
I am so enjoying to spending all the times with you all...
no matter is playing PC games together....or chit chat...or going to their college and act as the student there....or eating sushi together....
hahahah....
It is a nice memory...although my mind was in the band there...hahah!!!

I hope we all will always keep in touch..hope so...

Today..hmmm....consider yesterday, now already reach 12..hehe...
I joined my housemates, Nigel and Zhang to the Cameroon Highland...
long time didnt come to this place....
The last time I had been here was last year...hehe..
The weather here are still nice...cold...even freezing...
This trip...are a bit special compare to the last few trips..
because we never used the car to travel around...
Instead, we use our foot and also the car pooling...
this is a new kind of experiences...

Nigel the noob....
He suffering from the vegetarian meals...
He is a typical carnivore....
He likes meats..
and hates all the vege....
as a conclusion.....
Here is not the place for him...
wakakaa!!!

Two of them slept so early...
They are really tired....
hhahaah!!
unlike me....
i slept on this afternoon...heheh!!!
they prefer watching the old movies....

I walked around the town alone....

考完试咯

这几天考完了试。。。
却因为有些事情发生而让我无法回到槟城去。。。。
这几天正是够无聊咯。。。。

第一天的时候，无聊过头。。。
找明凯和他女朋友去。。。
我们玩扑克牌玩到天亮。。。还去看日出。。。
晚上，和凯洪去怡保看戏与clubbing....
PUB那种地方，劝学生们还是不去吧。。。
那地方很杂。。。
身为学生的我们，也没那么多钱去花。。。

第二天，早上。。。。
我到 Jalan Mati 去跑步。。。
在哪里拍下了很多美丽的景色。。。…………^^有空再post上去。。。
然后又一个人去吃早餐。。。
好久没那么轻松了咯。。。
真享受。。。
但晚上却又发生了一些事。。。
在和我一位朋友的女朋友交谈之中。。。
我告诉了她一些我朋友以前发生过的事。。。
却因为这事情。。。引起了一些误会。。咳。。。
我跟我这位朋友翻脸了。。。。

希望我可以快快处理好我的事情。。。
回家去，和我的家人们聚聚。。。
一起过中秋。。。
我好想念他们哦

昨晚有流星雨叻。。。。
但是大家都没看到。。。。
天色太多乌云了。。。

根据报导，流星雨出现的时间是1.30am-4.00am

我不时就回到外面去看看天色。。。
那么辛苦，都不知道为了谁。。。=_='

Last Monday me, Sifu, Black, bOon heng and yong Heng went to Ipoh (Perak Techno-trade center) for this presentations and exhibition of biotechnology....

we saw some interesting Biotech research and products....
The most attracted are the EM(effective Microoragnism) and the Coral replantation....

This is where we went....(PTTC)

I still have no idea about our topic...NEP (New Economic Policy)-has failed in nation building...
I had reading a book given by tutor whole day...
But still can't find out the points....
I only know that the purpose forming this policy is to poverty eradicating and economic restructuring....
And it is form after the race riot (13 May 1969)...
How it implement?
Create more job opportunities and rearrange our society which before that had been arrange according to the function of that specific races....

又一个星期过了。。。。
日子过得好快哦。。。
不知怎么搞的。。。最近老是那么爱睡。。。
常常都因为睡过头而迟到。。。。。。
已经好几堂课都这样了。。。。咳！

或许有时真的太累了吧！！
我知道这不是好理由。。。
大家都累啊！！！

刚刚妈妈来电给我。。。
我才发现我已好久没打回家了。。。
对不起妈妈。。。
我知道，您想念我这个在外读书的儿子。。。

Today, I suppose to be attend the morning computer system practical...
But i woke up late...
So , i decide to attend the class in the evening 5pm...
unfortunately.....there are no enough computer for me to use....
so,I have to attend another class on Friday..,
I usually go to the campus by bicycle...
But because Sifu fetch me to there today....
So,I had no transport to back to hostel...
As a result, I walk back back to the hostel...
On the way home,there is one guy driving the car passed by...
He saw me walking alone...
Most of the driver will just passed by....
But he different..he stopped and asked me whether I want him to fetch me home....
At first, I don't want to..
Because I don;t know him..he is a stranger....
But, I feel the sincerity of him want to fetch me back....
then, I also enter his car....

On the way, we intro each other...
His name is Asraf... Business Admin year 2 semester 2....
haha!

Luckily i met a nice person today...
If not I have to walk a long way home...
Under a hot sun...

A troublesome Saturday

Yesterday was our course- Biotechnology Lab test
We were all prepared to get into the test..cause most of us already struggle for at least one night for studying it....
But at the morning before i went to the Lab test...
I found a dog fall down into a drain...
Everyone passed by...but no one willing to help that dog...ARRGGG
What I disappoint is- even me didnt try to help
Actually I want to help.....I want to get into that deep drain and get it up...
But because I scared I will late for the test...
So,I didnt do so...I just pray for not raining in this morning and hope someone else can save this poor thing...
If after the Lab test,it still down there I will help it up....

The test is not that tough but it does not mean easy...
Some of the station, I really can't answer it...
Especially 1st station, ask us to focus to the specimen...
But most of us had failed to do so...
haizzz...
After the test,I told Si Nan what I saw in the morning..
And ask him for help if that poor thing still there....
But when we were there, we found it already not there..
Thx god....I know you won't the poor thing suffer...

Me and Black(Si Nan) then went for the Lunch...
on the way going, we saw aunty Leong( HL)...
She was walking alone...(so pity)
we asked her to join us for lunch...
and she accepted our invitation....

During the Lunch time,
We had chit chat a lot...
HL and black were talking about their family things....
and I keep listening....

After the lunch, I planed to go to the nearest city....(Ipoh)
to do some important task....
on the way, me and Black back into the Westlake.....
We met two girls...
they looked like finding somethings...
me and black stop our bike and ask for anything we can help them....
One of the girls lose her phone while sitting on the motorbike...
and she doubt it was dropped around that area...
So, we help them to find out...
And finally the "sharp eyes" of Blacky... found it...
But the phone battery already spoiled....\
but..still can use la...
only battery only la....

After that, I went bek to hostel and prepare to go Ipoh....
When I am changing my clothes....
I...I..I
I found that I lose something that is very important to me...

When I am in the bus to the Ipoh...
I sms that person...
And she asked me to forget about it....
It only a accessories...it nothing so meaningful...

When I reached Ipoh....
Because of something happened...
My task can't settle..
It means I was wasting my time to travel for so long to Ipoh...
But do nothing there...
I feel so depressed....
I am dull...
I am angry....
I feel why the people around me...cannot understand me...
do not appreciate what I done...
do not know how much I had sacrifices....
do not know how I care about all the things....

Even I am so depressed...
But i remember that,I promised Black to buy some donuts....
But he told me is ok that i didnt buy for him....
Then I asked for another fellow....(eqing)
But she said she wants the secret recipe cakes....
then nevermind...
I also will going there to have my dinner..
I like the chocolate banana cakes there...
But it already sold out....
At the same time, eqing sms me about she wants one piece of Banana cake too...
haizz...sold out la "tua ci"
She wants one piece of banana cake and one piece of tiramisu....
I wonder why she eat so much...
So i aked her....
She told me that one for herself,another for her housemate Jolynn..
cheh....
As I know Jolynn is a very 挑食pig....
so I better asked for the details...
wan cheese or don't wan cheese...want chocolate or dont wan and bla bla bla
In case...she will not get the cake she don't likes... =.='

When I backed to Kampar..
I realize another things..
It was Bon Odori (a Japanese ghost festivals)
haizz..i missed that annual event....
so I called tse phey...
and asked for the situation there....

After that....

Wow.....
I had studied whole days and a half for the Cell Biology test...

Hello again to Manual Car

yesterday was a saturday...
We have a political science class on this day...
as well as music concert rehearsal....
At first, I thought my housemate can borrow me the car for me to drive to campus...
Because i asked him last 2 days..and he promised...
But when i asked for the car..he said he misunderstand my meaning...
He thought that I want him to fetch me to school...swt
And he said he want used the car at that time...
So,i decided to borrow others person car...
Dan Dan's car....
But it is a manual gear car....haizz
I long time didn't drive the manual car....

I feel very hard to control the car...Because i already get used the auto car....
Now somemore need to change the gear....
When in one corner....due to my some mistakes...the engine was off....and i need to restart it...=='
When i reached J-ying's house to fetch HL...
I was locked in the car....and i can't unlock the car...
So i called Dan Dan for help...
Luckily he taught me the way to unlock it...haizzz..phew!!!

Xiao Cui and HL tried to drive the car alternately....
haha...I think both of them also want to try their driving skill...

But, we really lucky...
cause we all reach UTAR and home safety...haha...
I think next time not dare to borrow others manual car already....

New Village Project-Malim Mawar

Last few days.....
me,Black,Julian and Yun Xin had accepted a New Village Project...
This project is to find out all the 11 aspects of that village,so that any company or developers can search for the right place to develop.....
This time we went to MALIM MAWAR to do the foods,education background and some history aspects from that village....
First day:
We went to a restaurant and interviewed the owner of the shop....
It is already late, cause we went there after the class....
So, we can only interview one shop
The shop name is Our Chicken Rice Shop...
It is the only western food restaurant currently in that area....
And it is two months old since opening...
We didnt try the foods there,because we are already full...haha

We woke up at 9 am something(although i can't make it,blck was called me to woke me up XD)..
Then went to the same place and took the breakfast there....
We went there by Julian's car...
He lived at that village...
After our breakfast, we went to another restaurant but this time not interview for foods...

I really don't understand what the interview section is talking about..
haha..
so not much i can say about here...

Then we go and interviewed an old person in this village,who can considered a leader in that village...well known and generous in donating assets to the school and others....
He already 80 years old...
this time we let PANG to record..
because I cant listen clearly from him...

We recorded some of the history there.....
All how the new village was formed things..

after that we went to interviewed another "TOkoH" in that village...
He is a teacher...who studied the History while he was in university.....
We get a lot of info from him...
he told us the source of the Malim Mawar's name...
Malim mean-Alim -a person who are good in Islam and medical fields
Tawar means the antitode
people at that time like to come to here and get the cure from that Alim...
so, when people say it fast it become Malim Mawar...
After the interview...
We all feel hungry..
so we went to eat the local most famous food-擂茶（ hakka's food,which made of all the vegetables and the healthy ingredients)

Here i want to share it with you all...

Richard Paul Evans’s newest novel tells the story of a man who makes a living by "spying" on employees who are stealing from the company he works for, and a boy he meets during one of his many business trips. He’s good at what he does despite his medical condition.

Nathan Hurst has Tourette's Syndrome, which causes a person to have facial ticks, uncontrollable body movements and other related symptoms that will often surprise or shock those who are not familiar with the disease. (Richard Paul Evans has Tourette’s and uses his own experiences to model Nathan’s symptoms.) While the book is not about Tourette’s per se, it’s important to know that the main character suffers from it because this comes into play later as the story progresses.

Nathan is the narrator, and in the first chapter he talks not only about Tourette’s but also about an event he alludes to that occurred when he was only eight years old. It's an event that changed his life, destroying his family and alienating him from his mother for the rest of his life. It is also a weight he carries on his shoulders and has helped shape him into the person he is today.

During a routine "arrest" at one of the stores, Nathan encounters a woman who is caught stealing. She confesses that she actually brought back the goods, feeling awful about it, but stole the items in the first place because she needed the money. She is in an abusive marriage (the evidence is all over her body) and trying to get away from her husband. Because she has brought everything back, Nathan does not report her and lets her go out of the goodness of his heart. His job dictates that he arrest her, but he sees that she needs his help. Nathan is reprimanded for being lenient with the employee but explains that he has good reason. So his boss decides not to write him up for this indiscretion.

Back at the airport, as he waits for his flight home to be announced, Nathan meets a woman with two small children. Her son is obviously ill. When they learn that the flight has been canceled due to a winter storm, the mother becomes distraught because she has no place to put her children for the night. Nathan has a room already booked courtesy of his office, and he kindly offers it to her. At first she declines but then accepts hesitantly. It is the start of a relationship that will turn Nathan's life around and ultimately teach him a lesson in unselfish love and forgiveness, a lesson that comes from the little boy who is terminally ill. What this child does for people --- most of them strangers --- is the focus of the remainder of the story.

I don't want to give away too much, but I can say that THE GIFT is about miracles and the power of love. One has to suspend disbelief to truly enjoy the book, and while I'm not a believer in miracles, I did "buy" into the theme and found the ending an emotional experience. A box of tissues may be necessary before reaching the last page, so be prepared!

Career Millionaire-organized by CDC

Last Saturday....
Me,Si Nan,Hui Enn and Hitler had joint a Career Millionaire event in UTAR....
This event was organized by CDC-Career Development Club...
hmmm....
This games is something like Monopoly or call “百万富翁”...
Just it is more reallife...
We four were in one group..
and we had given 4000 dollar(fake money TT) as our starting money...
then we need to plan used those money to earn more money from playing some games in the stations,quizzes,stock market and fates cards

Each of us was given an Number card which show the group you are from..
But beware...
There were two gangsters who trying to steal the number cards from you....
Once you lost the cards...you need to pay 200 dollar as the fine to the police..
and you need to buy back the card from the market...
the whole game was 2 hours long...
and every half hour represent one month..
Every month you need to pay income tax..
if not you are going to charge interest...
There also a bank for you to save the money you earn in case you lost your money...
Beside,the stock market also another place which can earn money ^^
and also the pawn shop...
You can sell your asset which you bought from market to earn more money...^^
We all have a lot of fun....

Si Nan is very experienced in this kind of games...
He lead us to earn a lot...
And I learnt a lot from him in this game....
One of them is...Win-Win situation..
which no one will be lose in the competition...
We may meet others team in the station games to earn money...
But no matter win or lose...
we also can earn the money,because we use Win-Win
we discussed with the opponents....
no matter which side win..
the money is going to be divide into 2..
one for them,one for us...
At the end,we got the 2nd prize..
and the prize is...

But there are not important..
the most important is i had learnt a useful things in my life ^^

Dalam setahun dua ini kita sering mendengar lagu Rukun Negara berkumandang di media elektronik khususnya televisyen. Sememangnya Rukun Negara harus dihayati oleh semua lapisan masyarakat: warganegara Malaysia khususnya dan penduduk Malaysia amnya. Namun tahukah kita apakah rukun negara itu sebenarnya?

Apabila pertanyaan tersebut diajukan kepada golongan muda (dan bahkan sebilangan orang dewasa), mereka akan segera menjawab bahawa rukun negara ada lima perkara.

Sebenarnya Rukun Negara bukanlah merujuk kepada lima teras seperti yang dinyanyikan itu atau seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam kaca TV saban hari. Rukun Negara adalah satu nilai yang perlu dicapai. Rukun Negara adalah amalan yang perlu dilakukan. Rukun Negara adalah satu visi bagi merealisasikan kontrak sosial yang dipersetujui oleh kaum-kaum utama di Malaya atau Malaysia semasa penggubalan Perlembagaan Persekutuan Tanah Melayu mahupun Perlembagaan Persekutuan Malaysia.

Mungkin ramai generasi muda yang tidak memahami secara terperinci apakah Rukun Negara. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis sajikan ringkasan Rukun Negara daripada segi latar belakang, objektif, prinsip dan strategi yang telah diambil oleh kerajaan bagi mencapai objektif tersebut.

Latar belakang

Rukun Negara diisytiharkan oleh Yang Di-Pertuan Agong pada 31 Ogos 1970 iaitu semasa negara menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan Kali Ke-13. Rukun Negara adalah satu doktrin untuk mencapai perpaduan kaum demi keharmonian dan kemakuran negara Malaysia. Doktrin Rukun Negara diperkenalkan oleh Majlis Gerakan Negara (MAGERAN) yang memikul tanggungjawab menjalankan pemerintahan negara apabila sistem kerajaan berparlimen digantung pada 16 Mei 1969 ekoran rusuhan kaum yang lebih dikenali sebagai Peristiwa 13 Mei 1969. MAGERAN yang diketuai oleh seorang Pengarah, ditubuhkan bagi memulihkan perpaduan yang semakin goyah pada masa itu – perbalahan antara etnik pernah berlaku pada 1946, 1956 (di Pulau Pinang), 1960 (di Pangkor), 1966 (di Bukit Mertajam), 1967 (di Pulau Pinang) dan 13 Mei 1969 (di Kuala Lumpur).

Bagi melicinkan pemerintahan negara di bawah MAGERAN yang dipimpin oleh Y.A.B Tun Abdul Razak, MAGERAN telah menubuhkan tiga badan iaitu Majlis Muhibah Negara, Jabatan Perpaduan Negara dan Majlis Perundingan Negara. Rukun Negara adalah hasil daripada perbincangan-perbincangan yang diadakan oleh Majlis Perundingan Negara (MPN).

Objektif Rukun Negara

Rukun Negara mempunyai objektif-objektif seperti berikut:-

Untuk mencapai perpaduan yang lebih erat di kalangan seluruh masyarakat
Untuk memelihara cara hidup demokratik
Untuk mencipta satu masyarakat yang adil supaya kemakmuran negara dapat dinikmati bersama secara adil dan saksama
Untuk membentuk satu sikap yang liberal terhadap tradisi kebudayaan yang kaya dan berbagai-bagai corak; dan
Untuk membina sebuah masyarakat progresif dengan menggunakan sains dan teknologi moden

Prinsip-Prinsip Rukun Negara

Kepercayaan kepada tuhan
Kesetiaan kepada raja dan negara
Keluhuran perlembagaan
Kedaulatan undang-undang
Kesopanan dan kesusilaan

Strategi Mencapai Objektif Rukun Negara

Menubuhkan Majlis Perpaduan Negara / Majlis Penasihat Perpaduan Negara pada tahun 1971
Memasukkan unsur-unsur rukun negara ke dalam program agensi-agensi kerajaan dan pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO)
Memasukkan unsur-unsur rukun negara ke dalam kurikulum sekolah dan institusi pengajian tinggi
Menyebatikan prinsip-prinsip rukun negara ke dalam peraturan pertubuhan dan dan ikrar rasmi; dan
Melantik Panel Penasihat Lembaga Perpaduan Negara pada tahun 1974

Yesterday was the post mortem meeting for the Welcoming Concert...
it sign of the end of our event....
A successful event....
We have organize a concert in our life....
Eugene,our honorable chairperson gave us the comments that what contribution we have given and what mistakes we have done....
We all get a praise from him..cause we all really give all of our effort...
We tend to sacrifice for the concert....(skip classes or late to the classes,work until midnight)
Just hope this concert can be success....

Actually everyone also give a great contribution....
At first,i thought this meeting will a serious meeting...
But at the end,it was not...
We all have funs....
We are now friends, a friends who cooperate and help each others

We all chit chat with each others...compare to first meeting...We all are get closer to one another..hahaha!!!!

After went through a lot of difficulties and busyness....

The night before the concert all committee members and our helpers had a hard times to set up our venue.....
Especially the backdrop of the concert we really took a long time to settle it down....
We face a lot the problems when preparing the concert and during the concert...
But we successfully did it because of our passion , determination and the most importantly is TEAM WORK...
Thanks to my helpers who tend to come out and help....

Japanese researchers have successfully generated the world's first transgenic primates capable of passing on a foreign gene to their offspring. The feat, reported in tomorrow's (May 28) issue of Nature, should pave the way for more sophisticated models of human disease, though the monkey models still have many hurdles to overcome.

"This is the first time that we actually can see a transgene integrated into every tissue including the germline [in a primate] and that the transgene has been passed on to the next generation," Shoukhrat Mitalipov, a developmental biologist at the Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC) in Beaverton who wrote an accompanying commentary to the study, told The Scientist.

A team led by Erika Sasaki of the Central Institute for Experimental Animals in Kawasaki, Japan, injected viral vectors containing a green fluorescence protein (GFP) transgene into embryos of the common marmoset, a small New World monkey found in the forests of Eastern Brazil. Marmosets have short gestation periods, reach sexual maturity after around a year, and females can have up to 80 babies throughout their lifetimes -- all of which makes the animal more amenable to laborious transgenic technologies than some other primates with slower reproductive rates.

Sasaki's team started with 91 transgenic embryos and then implanted 80 of these into 50 surrogate mothers. Seven pregnancies took hold, resulting in five offspring -- including one pair of twins -- born to four mothers, all of which expressed the glowing transgene in several tissue types. What's more, two monkeys showed transgene expression in the germ cells, and one fathered a glowing, healthy marmoset, born last month. Genetic analyses also confirmed the presence of the transgene in this second-generation offspring. Since then, said Sasaki at a press briefing this morning (May 27), three more offspring have been born, although one died shortly after birth. All but one of these four offspring fluoresced under UV light, and further genetic analyses are currently underway to confirm the presence of the transgene.

The birth of these transgenic marmosets brings researchers "a step closer" to a useful primate model for studying many human neurological and behavioral conditions, Anthony Chan, a geneticist at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center in Atlanta, Georgia, who was not involved in the study, told The Scientist. Hideyuki Okano, a neuroscientist at Keio University School of Medicine and a coauthor on the paper, told reporters that the researchers first plan to target Parkinson's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, though they are also considering building marmoset models of cerebellar ataxia and Huntington's.

In 2001, a group led by Chan and Gerald Schatten, then at the ONPRC and now at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, created the first transgenic primate -- a rhesus macaque named ANDi that carried GFP, but this monkey never passed transgenes to its offspring. Last year, Chan also reported the birth of five rhesus macaques with the human Huntington's disease gene, though these monkeys have yet to reach sexual maturity. Chan said he's "confident" that these animals will display germline transmission of the Huntington's transgene, but "we'll have to sit patiently and wait until next year" to find out.

The major advantage of using marmosets, said Sasaki in the press briefing, is that unlike macaques, they can be propagated very quickly. "We can expand lots of colonies if we establish the transgenic founder marmosets," she said. "It's easy to expand and use these animals for research purposes," because once a stable transgenic population is established, researchers don't have to go through the onerous and time-consuming process of reengineering individual monkeys. There's no reason, however, why the same techniques shouldn't also work for macaques and other Old World primates that are more closely related to humans, she added.

Apart from turning to marmosets, the study's main technical achievement, said Mitalipov, was in the method used to get a hold of embryos for genetic manipulation. In addition to embryos obtained from in vitro fertilization (IVF), Sasaki's team obtained embryos produced through natural intercourse and then flushed from the reproductive tracts of mated females -- these natural embryos proved to more efficiently incorporate the transgene than IVF embryos. "Other than that, there hasn't been any technological advancement," he said.

Despite the utility of this new primate research model, the protocol used to engineer the marmosets has its limitations, noted Okano in the press briefing. The self-inactivating lentiviral vectors used in the study can only insert small transgenes -- shorter than 10 kilobases of DNA. Plus, because the transgenes insert randomly, they can be hard to screen for if they're not expressed in the correct tissues, and they can activate other potentially harmful genes. "It's not like homologous recombination," the technique commonly used for targeted, site-specific, transgene integration in mice, Okano told reporters.

"What we need now is to use gene targeting along with animal cloning techniques to have desirable effects," Mitalipov told The Scientist. "That will have enormous applications for deriving genetically engineered primates. Unfortunately, that's still in the future."

Today is my first day of degree in UTAR...

I have to wake up early in this morning because i have to take care of the promotion booth for WELCOMING CONCERT.....

I and YY were assigned to duty there from 9am to 11 am

YY asked me to print out all the marking scheme for the performer and the emcee

So I went to ICTC there and tried to print out the stuff.....

But when i tried to log in the computer with my new ID...

It failed....no matter what i tried...

It just can't log in....

Then i go and consult the officer there.....

But they were busying...

Haizz....

So i asked a person for help..

I asked her not to switch off the PC she had been using....

And i continued use the PC to print out all the stuff....

But that printer no INK...arggg

I fed up and sick on the UTAR's ICTC printer...

I looked at the clock it almost the time for me to attend the tutorial class...

So I and YY passed the booth for Alan and leng lui Maria....

We don't know whether the first week got the tutorial class or not

When we went there,i saw a lot of the last foundation coursemate there

They are same class with me..

Including Khai Wen,Hui San etc etc.

We waited there for almost half an hours....

But there are no any tutor come...

So we consider it as no tutorial for first week...

I went back to the promotion booth there to accompany Maria....

Kesian punya Maria...her class only start from 6pm-8pm for today...

But she came here to take care the booth due to this is her responsiblity....

Then my dad told me that he know Permatang Pasir there(a kampung in Penang) got one laksa stall....
I never heard that before and it sounds like very nice...
So,I decided to go there and try the laksa there...
When I arrived there,I found this place really call kampung...

and the houses there mostly make of woods...

Buddies gathering

15/5/2009....Today is my high school buddies gathering.(KKG, lasap kenzio,Julius,Leon,WEn Han, and another two gals(Hui ling and Yan Nee)
Our first destination was to Queensbay Mall.We went there for skating...This can be consider as my first time skating....i had fall at least 8 times.My buttock now still feeling pains....I very happy that i can balance myself in such a short time and i somemore can speedup.For the price of speed up,of course is PK(someone taught me use this words)
Then,we had went to next destination.....go Gurney's Red Box to sing....what a unlucky,I forgot to bring my student ID along..so no discount for me..so sad...i enjoyed singing there..and it cause me shoar throat..

After singing,we felt hungry and going to have our dinner...Wen Han suggested go to his godfather's pizza house to eat because at that time the American college students had come here to play basketball with the local teams and at the same time do something like exchange culture...When we arrived there,we saw a lot of "guai lou" there..me ,Leon,KKG and Julius took the places and we sitted with a white guy called Kayle Saturnjacobs.We talked about basketball,our lifestyle,cultures and etc etc....Kia Chin had sitted at another place,due to no places for us to sit together...He show off his pen spinning skill to the Americans and they like it... never lose to Kia chin,so he also show to the Americans too...he also taught a Black fellow named Caesar the simple penspining...he very happy when he was able to spin the pen..hahaha!!We had ate some free pizzas today..but that doesnt important...Kung meet a "guai mui" name Melissa Short..but her height are not short..he has same height as Kung..about 182cm..gosh....
After we talked,we had exhanged our facebook address with each others....
Finally,we all went to the beach at night....Leon,kenzio and KKG do something "immoral" there...swt....hahaha!!!
